Last year, we hired 56 new team members, doubling our company’s size, and established new processes, guidelines, and tools. This year, we have big ambitions to introduce new processes while helping our people to stay focused and passionate.

As we continue to hire throughout the company, we want to make sure we’re reaching the best people out there. And as we grow our team in the Americas, we’re looking for a People Ops partner to help us solve the new and exciting challenges that come with it.

What you will do

  • No two days in the People Ops team will look the same. Depending on the company’s needs, you could be helping us hire for core functions, searching for candidates, conducting interviews, managing our recruitment processes from end to end, investigating new tools, improving guidelines, documenting processes, and assisting with onboarding new joiners.
  • You might also analyse data, generate new contracts, investigate how to improve our employer brand, buy a new wellbeing tool for employees or create new organization-wide team-building initiatives — the possibilities are endless!
  • Even though there will be an important workload of recruitment during your first few months (around 70% as of right now), this is a generalist role where what you do will impact and improve experiences for new candidates and existing employees. There’s lots of responsibility and the scope of this role is big, but we want to create a modern People Ops team of true business players who impact the company — so we need to aim high!

  • You enjoy finding the best talent, no matter what department you are hiring for.
  • You understand the importance of a great candidate experience and you make sure everyone you work with gets the best possible impression of Sketch during the recruitment process.
  • You work independently and you are hands-on, you respond quickly in a fast-paced environment and with any changing circumstances.
  • You are detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to efficiently prioritize tasks to get things done.
  • You’ll want to continue your career as a generalist over the coming months and are keen to learn about different People Ops areas.
  • Last but not least, you are eager to learn and you are not afraid of making mistakes. You want to own your work and keep learning until you reach your goals.


  • 4+ years of People experience in recruiting, employee relations, people operations, compensation/benefits, and/or organizational development.
  • Experience working in a global, remote team.
  • Great project management skills, excellent organization, and documentation across different platforms we use (Lever, LinkedIn, Slack).
  • A high level of enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Preferably based in North/Central/South American time zones.
