Can I use real-time collaboration in Sketch alongside Abstract?

At Sketch, we always strive to give you choices when it comes to how you work. That’s why you always have the option to save your files locally to your Mac and hook Abstract into your workflow, if that suits you best.

However, with Sketch, you get more than just the Mac app. You also get shared Workspaces, an online space where you can store all your documents and Libraries, and share them with others in your team for developer handoff, commenting and more.

And now you can collaborate in real-time on documents you store in shared Workspaces.

Real-time collaboration is only possible thanks to the strong integration we’ve built between the Mac app and shared Workspaces. So only documents saved to shared Workspaces will work with real-time collaboration.

If Abstract’s workflow offers you the tools you need, such as merging and branching, you can certainly continue to use it. But if you want a shared Workspace for your documents, and the ability to collaborate in real-time on any document, we’d encourage you to try the full experience of Sketch.
