Why was my credit card declined?

There could be a number of reasons why your credit card has been declined. Please see below for some possibilities:

  • Credit card number, expiration date or billing address was entered incorrectly.
  • There is a hold on your credit card. This can happen when a credit card company detects a transaction not seen as a normal purchase. There is a concern it might be a fraudulent charge.
  • A restriction may have been placed on your credit card. As an example, your credit card may not have authorization be used outside the country use.
  • Insufficient funds.

If you feel as though one of the above reasons applies to you, please try to enter your credit card information one more time. If the transaction is declined again, you will need to contact your credit card company. Further information regarding credit card declines can be found here. Once on this page, proceed by selecting the orange “Contact Support” option. To submit your request complete the form by entering your information in the necessary fields(*). Please ensure that you include First and Last Name, email address, a brief description of your request and attach any supporting documents.
