2.1 Color Variables

Meet Color Variables, a powerful component to create colors that sync up across your document. In this lesson, you’ll learn how to create, edit and manage Color Variables across documents.

Key learnings

  • Any changes you make to a Color Variable will automatically update across all the layers that use it. The same goes for Color Variables in Libraries.

  • Use Color Variables and Layer Styles together to keep colors in your styles consistent and make updates to all of them with a single change.

  • Use numbers in front of Color Variables so they appear in the order that works best for you.
